Work
Building software for investment workflows, security data systems, and real-time games.
Enterprise software & data systems
React interfaces, Python services, database performance, and streaming reliability.
FRANKLIN TEMPLETON / SOFTWARE ENGINEER / 2023–2024Portfolio analysis features & backend services
Franklin Templeton is an investment-management company. My work supported stock-market portfolio workflows in an environment with real-time, tick-based market data.
Developed shareable portfolio links, stock watchlists, and consolidated bulk portfolio imports for multiple users in the Portfolio Analysis Tool.
- Building useful product features
- Built sharing and watchlist workflows around users’ selected stock portfolios. Added bulk-insert processing with logs for warnings, errors, links, stock identifiers, and user activity.
- Connecting the application stack
- Worked with Python, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Datadog. The broader application work included React interfaces, Flask and Node.js integration, and Python microservice APIs.
- Improving efficiency with the team
- Used object pooling and reduced asynchronous gRPC calls to improve database-access efficiency. Collaborated with business stakeholders on AI-related systems using MongoDB and Snowflake capabilities.
CISCO / SOFTWARE ENGINEER / 2022–2023Enterprise ingestion & streaming data pipelines
Cisco builds networking and security technology. My work focused on data pipelines for security-related systems, where reliable ingestion and consistent data support downstream applications.
Managed and improved database-ingestion jobs across Kafka, Oracle, SAP HANA NRT, Teradata, and Snowflake, working with Python on Unix servers.
- Turning source data into usable inputs
- Designed and developed ETL processes in Google Cloud BigQuery for Kafka messages and external inputs including Oracle data and CSV, JSON, and text files, preparing data for downstream consumers and Pub/Sub ingestion jobs.
- Keeping ingestion reliable
- Worked with Kafka topics and brokers, Python multithreading, SQLAlchemy, and JDBC/ODBC database connections. Improved streaming throughput, message integrity, and cross-system data consistency.
- Team enablement
- Documented Kafka ingestion requirements in Confluence, including topic setup, SSL configuration, environment parameters, source and target connections, and initial and repeat ingestion workflows.
Real-time graphics & game development
Professional work with Puny Human on rendering, tools, and gameplay.

Professional work / Puny Human / Unreal Engine 4Through Puny Human, a game-development studio, I worked with Striking Distance Studios on real-time graphics for The Callisto Protocol. My contributions included UE4.27 Material/BasePass shaders, custom character lighting, GBuffer and dynamic-resolution fixes, and C++/Python artist tools, supported by profiling with PIX, Razor, and RenderDoc.

RIT / GRADUATE TEACHINGGraphics APIs & engine architecture
Supported graduate C++ game-engine development, including scene graphs and animation performance. Delivered lectures on DirectX 11 and OpenGL CPU–GPU pipeline stages and entity-component-system design.
Worked with students to connect architectural concepts to implementation and debugging.
